IUB is piloting a lab glove recycling program
IUB is piloting a disposable lab glove recycling program from Kimberly-Clark Professional. The program is called RightCycle. Under this program, Kimberly-Clark will take back their used disposable gloves. The returned gloves are used to make plastic products such as patio furniture and park benches. Any Kimberly Clark brand gloves that would otherwise go into the trash can be recycled. Gloves are collected in boxes in individual labs. When boxes are full, they can be returned to Kimberly Clark at no cost or they can be consolidated with gloves from other labs for return to Kimberly Clark. Contact Rick Hackler in the Chemistry Receiving department for more information.
Don't walk through construction areas!
Construction activity on campus is increased in the summer months. For your own safety, please respect the signs and boundaries around construction areas. Never walk through an active construction area, even if it doesn't look like anything is going on.
