Recycle Your Lab Gloves

Thursday, July 27, 2017

The IUB Chemistry Department is piloting a disposable lab glove recycling program from Kimberly-Clark Professional. The program is called RightCycle. Under this program, Kimberly-Clark will take back their used disposable labwear products, such as latex and nitrile gloves, and disposable lab coats and coveralls. The returned products are used to make plastic products such as patio furniture and park benches. Any gloves and disposable labwear that would otherwise have gone into the regular trash can be recycled.

See Rick Hackler in the Chemistry Receiving department for participation details and a collection box for your lab. When your lab box is full, take it to the Chemistry dock and empty it into the collection box located there.
